OUR TEAM
Mark Darrah B.D.S.
After
qualifying from Sheffield I spent several years in London, both
in general practice and in two year- long hospital appointments,
one being in an Oral Surgery Department and the other in a crown
and bridge department. On returning to Southport I joined this
practice, married and brought up my family. Recently I have
partaken in two extensive courses on implants and endodontics
(root fillings). I especially enjoy the intricacies of
endodontics and cosmetic dentistry, with the opportunities to
make some fantastic smiles!
Almost
inevitably being a Southport Dentist I play golf and when the
weather turns colder enjoy shooting.
Kevin
Gibney B.D.S., M.F.G.D.P., M.Med.Sci.(implant dentistry)
I
went to school in Liverpool and
studied dentistry at Dundee University qualifying in 1977. I have
been a general dental practitioner since and have been in practice
at St Paul’s Square since 1990. I achieved MFGDP (Membership of the
Faculty of General Dental Practitioners) in 1994. In 1996/7 I
attended the well-respected implant course at Sheffield Dental
School and followed this with MmedSci (Masters Degree in Medical
Science, Implantology) completed in 2003. I have been providing
implants for my own patients and those of colleagues who refer to me
since 1997 and have placed and restored hundreds of implants.
As well as providing routine dental care I enjoy the challenge of
complex cases. Many of these cases involve the use of implants
together with crowns, bridges and veneers using the latest ceramics
to restore both function and aesthetics.

Cracknell B.D.S.
I
qualified at Liverpool University in
1985 and worked in a group practice in Rainford and Parbold before
coming to St. Paul's Square in May 1986.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry with particular interest in
advanced restoration work.
I have attended the Advanced Postgraduate Course for Dental
Practitioners at Fazakerley Hospital for three years and competed
the implant prosthetic course at Sheffield University.
I am married with three children and my interests other than my
family include walking and singing, having taken part in local
productions, recitals and concerts.

Davies B.D.S.
I
have lived in Southport for most of
my life, arriving at the tender age of two in 1967 which I hope
makes me an honorary Sandgrounder!
I qualified as a Dental Surgeon at Liverpool Dental School in 1995
and I have been based at St Paul's Dental Care ever since. I enjoy
the varied challenges of General Practice, especially being able to
put my patients at ease and hopefully demonstrating that a visit to
the dentist should not be feared, but should be a pain free and
reasonably pleasant experience. I am very keen on preventive
dentistry and the importance of good oral hygiene and diet from an
early age. I also have an interest in the cosmetic aspects of
dentistry such as ceramic crowns, veneers, bridges, tooth whitening
and implant related solutions for missing teeth.
Your smile is one of the most important assets you've got and it is
my aim to give you something to smile about!
I am married and have two daughters who attend local schools, one of
which I attended as a child and am now proud to be a Governor of. I
spend my leisure time caravanning (Jeremy Clarkson look out!) and
playing guitar in a local amateur band.
Sarah
Moult Dip.D.H.&T.
My dental career started in London at
the Royal Dental Hospital, where I did my Dental Surgery Assistant
training. I then moved to Manchester Dental Hospital and qualified
there as a Dental Hygienist in 1986. I am passionate about my job
and gain great satisfaction from helping my patients to maintain a
healthy mouth.
I have a daughter Rosie and outside work I go horse riding when I
can, sing in a choir, play tennis and enjoy fell walking.
OUR AIMS
To provide the highest quality dentistry available in a relaxed
and comfortable environment.
A trip to the dentist can bring about uneasy feelings. At St.
Paul's we focus on making our patients feel at ease. Our experienced
team of dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and reception staff
strive to make your trip to the dental surgery a positive
experience. From our younger to our older patients we want to
establish and maintain your confidence in our abilities to perform
dentistry so that a return trip is anticipated and not feared; a
lasting relationship where friendly conversation and open
communication is the norm.
